I made this Wow Wow Wubbzy Birthday Cake for my son’s 2nd birthday last year, when he was into Wow Wow Wubbzy, on Noggin/Nick Jr.
This is a 9″x13″ chocolate cake. The icing is store bought white with yellow Wilton gel coloring, and the black is white frosting dyed black (to save money on more frosting).
I cut the top of the cake to shape the ears. Freeze your cake overnight before you cut it to shape it, and use a VERY sharp knife or you will have to deal with crumbs while you frost. After you cut, do a crumb coat (thin) of frosting and freeze for 30 more minutes. Cover with desired amount of frosting and decorate.
I used a cake board much larger than my cake and “painted” Wubbzy’s tale and legs/feet on instead of making more cake to do those parts. Outline with a line of black decorator frosting (I used permanent marker on the foil before “painting”).
Thank you so much! I am definitely gonna do this for my little boy’s 4th birthday party coming up next month. I was worried about the legs and tail but I will just do what you did! Thanks
The cake looks great and but I’m not the best artist so I found on nickjr.com. They have a template your can print for the entire thing. It gives you directions and everything but you could definetly put your own twist on it. I thought get white frosting and add yellow food coloring and then get chocolate and pipe everything from a bag. Cool stuff.
Thank you for posting the picture of the wow wow wubbzy cake it was my inspiration for the cake and pinata I made for my son C4. I will post my cake on this web. You made my imagination go wild! I made it from cookies decoration and plan to do a cake to put it on.
