I made this Wubbzy Birthday Cake for my daughter’s 2nd birthday. I got the idea online on nickjr.com. I did it pretty much the same except I didn’t cut the ears and I added a round cake on the top for the clown wig. Unfortunately the cake for the wig didn’t turn out quite big enough and it sort of looks like a beehive do, but that’s ok.
I used yellow chocolate for the hands, feet, and tail. I had some semi-sweet melting chocolate also, so I made the eyes, nose and mouth out of chocolate also, which I thought was just as easy if not more and everyone wanted to eat the chocolate. It didn’t turn out quite like I planned but it is still cute. My daughter loved it.
My husband didn’t think I could make it turn out as cute as it did, but I showed him that he was wrong. To get the frosting smooth, I just dipped my frosting knife in water, and it really gave a very smooth texture to Wubbzy’s body. I got quite a few compliments at her party. All in all, this was a pretty easy cake to do.
That cake is awesome! My son Haeden is getting ready to turn 2 on the 29th and we have been trying to find ideas for a cake. This is adorable! I’m not that creative though so i don’t think I’ll be taking this idea.
