I made this You Rock Hand for my daughter’s 12th birthday. She wanted a rock theme. I baked the cakes the night before, and left them in the fridge wrapped in plastic overnight. This made the cutting a little easier. I freehanded the shape of the hand and used the leftover pieces for the fingers and thumb. I made simple lines with a butter knife for knuckle and finger creases.
For the flesh tone frosting I used 1 drop red and 3 drops yellow. I used black dye and chocolate frosting for the wristband and fingernails. I used chocolate chips for the spikes on the wristband.
