I was consulted a few weeks before the birthday by the mom of the birthday girl. They wanted something simple but smart. The theme was ’Lime green and white’. I personally wasn’t impressed with the color scheme as it’s for a girl but the customer has the choice. I suggested that we change a couple of things as the picture they brought me was filled with sweets (my suggestion substitute sweets with hand made sugar roses).
I started with the roses and simply fell in love once I saw the color, this motivated me more as I just wanted to complete the cake to see the final product.
At the end I myself was impressed what I’m capable of doing. The cake was the show stopper of the occasion and the birthday girl was in complete awe when she saw her cake.
That was the moment, which was priceless! That’s my joy of baking beautiful cakes, simply love it. The reaction says it all!
