Fall Leaves Cake

I did this cake for a co-worker. She needed a cake for her brother and since it was mid October what better thing to do, than an Autumn cake. They both loved it, and she was able to add some fall touches to the table, that gave it real punch. It is yellow  cake, with 3 inch layers, with a chocolate ganach between the layers and iced smooth with butter cream icing.

I made the basket out of fondant and gum paste. I tried to place lines and staple marks for a very realistic looking basket.The leaves are made from fondant, and I used a veining tool to make them more realistic. The scarecrow was purchased. This was a very fun and easy cake to do.
