Being a stay-at-mom and freelance writer when I first discovered the joys of 3d sculpting and fondant cakes, I felt that I had never been happier in my life. For the first time I learnt that I could touch hearts with my cakes. Today I am a founder of my homemade customized fondant cakes business “SMALL CAKES, BIG SMILES”, Pakistan.
For this cake I baked Brownies in two rectangular pans and prepared chocolate ganache. Internet guided me with my first scuplting experience and this is what I came up with. I made the masts with paper that was avilable at home but next time I will surely make it much better. Needless to say, the Maltesers canon balls and Kit Kats were kept hidden in the cupboard out of kid’s reach .(Haha, evil Mom tactic). And the cake was prepared when kids were at school. Lolz
It’s never about cake anyways. It’s always about the crafting experience, the sparkle it gives to the eyes of spectators and the smile it brings on their faces. Isn’t it?
