This Minnie Mouse cake was done for my granddaughter, Katie’s 3rd birthday. Katie loves pink, any shade, everywhere. She’s all girl. This one is a 3 layer cake on a silver cake stand. This one needed to be special. It’s three different types of chocolate cake, traditional on the bottom, German chocolate in the middle and dark chocolate on the top.
The fondant is marshmallow and homemade. I used fuchsia pink food coloring for the pink fondant on the top and bottom layers. The polka dots and white ribbon are white fondant. The Minnie Mouse heads are cut with my Cricut Cake out of sugar sheets and each one has a pink bow also cut from sugar sheets. The topper was made by my daughter from modeling clay and then baked. She hot glued a bow on top and we added a pink “K” on the top.
The cake turned out exactly like we wanted and Katie was in heaven. This year she is a princess, so we’ll have to figure out how to give her a castle!
