Homemade Hello Kitty Cake

WHAT YOU NEED

1 10″ BY 16″ sponge cake (made day before)

strawberry jam (for inbetween sponge cake)

2 tubs of frosting (from a local supermarket)

1kg white sugarpaste (from a local supermarket)

black and pink food colouring

icing sugar or cornflour(for rolling out)

black writing icing (from supermarket)

FOR THE CAKE

sponge cake cut out two 8″ circles add jam and some frosting inbetween circles this is for the face, with the left over cake made four ears, add jam and frosting and put two together do the same for the other two, place the face and ears together on cake board put a little frosting, inbetween the ear and face to fix them together,

FOR THE DECORATION

frosting the rest of the cake, then roll out the sugarpaste with icing sugar add the sugarpaste on the cake smooth out, for the eye and nose make little balls from the white sugarpaste add black food colouring to two balls with a food pick also do the same for the nose and bow using the pink food colouring, for the whiskers i used black writing icing four lines each side.

FOR THE BOW

roll out cut into a strip, each end put into the middle pinch.
