I made this ice cream bug cake for my daughters first birthday. I took 5 lg glass bowls and lined them with clear wrap, then layered in the bowls, white ice cream, chocolate ice cream, crushed orea cookies, fudge, and white ice cream.I let them sit in the freezer until hard, then took whipped cream and white ice cream and mixed that together with my food coloring to frost them. I made diffrent lines and shapes on each hump of the bug. (Note that once it warms up, the colors can run) I did use a gel to make the different shapes, which I would not recommend. I also made some cupcakes and ice cream cone cakes, which I frosted and added sprinkles and candy bugs to.
