This cake is made from (2) 9×11 stacked cakes iced with green buttercream icing around the sides. I drew a big square in the centre of the cake with a toothpick, iced it green and used chocolate icing to make the “track” around it. I added crushed chocolate chip cookies for the “gravel” and drove the monster truck around the track a couple times and made sure the tires had icing and crumbs stuck to them to make it look more authentic. To get the Monster truck to sit up above the cake, I used a bamboo skewer; there was a little hole in the bottom of the truck that was just the right size for the skewer, and then inserted that down through the cake. Around Arron’s name are black and red smarties and then rolos at each corner to act as “buffers”. This cake was a big hit!
