I made this for my son’s 12th birthday to take to school. To make the ‘pizza base’, I made half a chocolate cake batter, then poured it onto a greased pizza tray and baked it.Once it was cool I iced it with butter cream icing, coloured with red colouring and about a tablespoon of chocolate drinking powder (not cocoa).The toppings were: mushrooms (white marshmallows dipped in chocolate drinking powder); pineapples (decapatated and crippled yellow gummy bears); ham (fruit bars cut into rectangular slices) and olives (licorice twists sliced and hollowed out).The cheese was created by grating half a block of white chocolate.The side of garlic bread was made by cutting two slices of Madeira cake (pound cake) length ways and spreading yellow icing on them, then topping it with ‘parsley’ (green hundreds and thousands).To top it off, the guys from our local pizzeria gave me a large pizza box to present it in. The kids at school loved it and my son was one very popular birthday boy!
