This cake was made for my daughter’s birthday as she was very specific that she needed a Princess Castle cake. This is a 2 tier cake. This tier has three layers and each layer is a combination of Vanilla, Chocolate and Cherry flavors (neopolitan cake) The layers are filled with Cherry Chocolate Ganache and is frosted with Cherry Buttercream. I used pureed cherries (no artificial flavoring used!) for the cherry buttercream and the pink colour is because of that as i didnt want to use any food coloring. I used sugar cones for the towers and covered it with sugar balls. the srea surrounding the castle was given a grass effect and the pathway to the castle was made of chcoolate sprinkles. The doors and windows are made of fondant and i used golden coin chocolates for the walls.
Everyone just loved the castle cake and thought it was store bought. My daughter was very happy and proud to inform her friends that the cake was made by her mother !
