This is a cake I made recently for a 13th Birthday Party. I came up with the idea one night while trying to fall alseep, which is the best way to come up with ideas!! I wanted a smaller tiered cake but with the same effect as a large one. So I used 2 9-inch round cake pans for bottom tier. One 8-inch for middle, and one 6-inch for top tier. Where ever I could, I used Dulce de leche in between tiers. The top one I cut in half and added caramel there too. Between the bottom 2 tiers, I used straws to stabilize the cake and cardboard rounds. For the decorations on the cake, I colored gum paste the same color as the icing, rolled and cutout shapes for the cake. When the flowers are first cut out, dab a little piping gel in the middle and add an edible pearl. For the flowers on top, I used icing as a glue to help hold the flowers upright and in place. You can use any designs you want and any colors. Small tiered cakes are a great way to say, “WOW”, without wasting too much cake!!!!
