Jungle Cake

This Jungle cake was made for a friend’s little girl who just loves all kinds of animals. I made the cake right from the invite, which happened to be a jungle theme.

I started with a very large round cake pan for the base then three smaller cakes for the animals. I enlarged the pictures on a photo copier cut out the shape, laid the papers on the cakes, trimmed off the extra cake leaving me with animals.

Frosted each of them and put them in place. I also for the first time used fondant to make some of the large leaves and the monkey. Piped on more green leaves and fern like plants to cover up some of the edges added flowers and was done.

  1. This cake is very beautiful. I love your idea of cutting the smaller “animal” cakes and placing them on top of the larger cake. Great work!
