This leopard cake was made for one of my twin boys’ as an individual cake for his safari theme birthday. The cake was first drawn by my husband and then a template was made. A cake was baked from the Wilson Animal Cracker pan and the template was used to cut the outline of the leopard. An Exacto knife was then used to cut key areas from the template such as the eyes, ears and nose.
The template was then placed on the cut out cake and powdered sugar was sifted on top to get an outline of those key areas. Icing was then piped, starting with the white and then the darker colors and lastly the outline was put on.
