This Littlest Pet Shop cake was made for my niece. I used white cake mix. It is a twelve by twelve square cake with a nine inch round cake on top. I used butter cream icing for the whole cake and tinted it green to go with the jungle theme Littlest Pet Shop set I was using for the cake top. The whole cake was trimmed around the edges with grass. I purchased the Littlest Pet Shop set from Wal Mart. I added vines around the edges of the cake to go with the jungle theme and has some bananas to hang off of the vines. If I ever have to do a cake like this again, I hope to make some palm trees and maybe some sand (crushed vanilla wafers and/or brown sugar) to go around the bottom layer of the cake. I would love to try fondant on this cake just because I like the look of it, but no one seems to like the taste of it.
