To make the design of this TMNT cake I used a Wilton Spiderman cake pan. The icing is a homemade buttercream icing recipe I found on Wilton’s website. The features were outlined in black and then filled in with using a star tip. I have used this same pan to make a Power Ranger as well. Very easy!

I started out with a sheet cake and cut the ends to look like a broken off piece of street. For the head I used three 8″ cakes and carved them down. I used an 8″ cake for the manhole cover as well. Good support was the key in keeping the cover on without cracking.
