Pink and White Castle Cake

This pink and white castle cake was my first cake that went beyond the basic round cake pan. The whole thing came together pretty well, and was a MASSIVE hit at my daughter’s 7th birthday party. My daughter came up with the heart shaped stepping stones, which make the cake just that much more ‘girly’.

A cake like this is definitely worth the effort – just be careful if you have to transport it.  I hadn’t thought that thru until the 20 minute drive to the party.  My poor husband drove about 20km/hr with me yelling to slowdown while my ‘towers’ were wobbling dangerously!!
