This is the second pregnant belly cake I have made for someone. This one I used the Wilton Soccerball pan for the belly and the Pyrex ingredients bowl for the breasts.
This cake is always a hit the mom to be usually asks for this cake or a block cake.
This is sooo cute! I never would have thought to do a belly cake…adorable!!
I love this one because the breast are not huge like some of the others I have seen. Yes, I know breast get larger with pregnancy.
well I’m having a baby shower for my sister who has two months left…and I am 12 years old and I’m going to attempt to make this cake. Any tips on how?
that is the hardest cake I’ve ever seen. I give this cake its props. I love it
Hi I just had to say that your belly cake was the biggest inspiration on this website for my very first belly cake, and my first time working with fondant! My cake is pregnant belly cake #31…thanks for posting your pic and tips…they helped so much!
This is THE CUTEST pregnant-belly cake I’ve ever seen! …. Wanted to attempt it for my sister-in-law’s baby shower, THEN I realized you used Pyrex bowls for the breasts–I didn’t know you could get a cake to bake (and be done in center) in a glass bowl. haha! So…maybe I shouldn’t attempt if I am that clueless! :/
How many boxes of cake mix did you use for the belly?? Want to make the cake for a baby shower I’m doing soon
It’s not difficult. Pyrex is meant to go in the oven. You can do Cupcakes but I don’t like the way that looks. Don’t be scared you can do it and make sure you have good potholders when u pull them out. :) goodluck
I don’t use box mixes. But it takes two batches of cake batter to fill both the belly and the breasts!
