Once the country started to shut down, people for whatever reason decide that toilet paper would be the “hot commodity”! Even though I would never use this roll of TP in the bathroom, it’s very appropriate for the kitchen! We had to take advantage of this trend to help people smile during this crazy time in the world!
The cake is constructed from there 6″ cake layers. It’s German chocolate cake with a pecan coconut filling in between layers. It’s then crumb coated with American buttercream and covered in fondant. The fondant is imprinted with a pattern that you’d see on TP and I had to add the smear of poop for the gross factor! The sign on top adds to the sentiment of the cake. The friend I made this for said that it really made her day extra special during a time when she isn’t able to celebrate with her family.
