As a self taught cake decorator I find every cake to be a challenge. This surf cake was made for a 40th and I had no idea where to start but as I was baking it started to come to me. I made the wave with coco pops and marshmallow and the cake was a choc mud cake with a chocolate cream filling and covered in fondant. I then put frosting all over and brushed it all with blue using a paint brush.
The customer was very happy and said they loved the choc crackle surprise. It is so rewarding and encouraging to hear such positive feed back.
